I am a Doctor of Clinical Psychology and HCPC (Health  Care Professions Council) registered Practitioner Psychologist. I am a Chartered Member and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society specialising in Psychotherapy. I have extensive experience having worked in Mental Health since 2001 in the NHS and privately, and have worked in a wide range of settings such as specialist Psychotherapy services, in patient services and GP surgeries. I have extensive research experience including  being published in an international peer reviewed journal.

I hold degrees from The University of Sheffield, The University of Birmingham and Sheffield Hallam University in Biology, Psychology and Clinical Psychology. I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from The University of Birmingham in 2009.

I provide psychological assessment and psychotherapy to adults with complex mental health difficulties including people who have experienced significant trauma/PTSD, early childhood trauma, personality and attachment difficulties, depression and anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship problems, eating disorders, substance misuse, bereavement and loss, identity issues, sexual problems, physical health problems and medically unexplained symptoms/somatic problems and chronic pain. I provide clinical supervision to Clinical Psychologists and psychotherapists. I have taught on the Birmingham Doctoral programme as a visiting lecturer.

I have an established private practice offering assessment and psychotherapy to peoplefor a wide range of problems. Every person is unique and therefore therapy is adapted to the particular experience and needs of the

individual. As an experienced Psychologist and Psychotherapist I am skilled in drawing upon creative and ancient methods combined with modern scientific understanding to help people unlock their buried unconscious feelings with compassion and precision.  Through careful inquiry the often unconscious roots of painful emotions can be brought into awareness and transformed, causing profound shifts in insight. This also involves drawing upon an individual’s felt sense and intuitive wisdom to understand, re-discover and liberate themselves from past trauma and pain and in that process have a richer and deeper understanding of themselves.

My psychotherapy consulting room is are based in Acocks Green, with easy connections to Solihull, Birmingham City Centre, Warwickshire, Knowle, Hall Green, Moseley, Edgbaston, Leamington and Coventry.

There is a direct train from Moor Street train station in the city centre to Acocks Green which takes less than 10 minutes.  My main consulting room is a 10 minute walk from Acocks Green train station.
